We are pleased to inform you that our office
is now placing dental implants!
After 35 years of intensive worldwide
research and success rates approaching 95%, implants are now
considered the “standard of
care.”
The loss of a tooth can be
traumatic because it affects your smile, your
ability to chew and often your self esteem. We
are confident that implants will be a great benefit for our
patients who are missing teeth.
Dental Implants are one of the fastest
growing and most exciting new disciplines in dentistry today. Our
office is committed to offering the most advanced technology to
help our patients. Today, patients who previously suffered
from missing teeth, denture soreness, decreased chewing ability or
loss of facial structure are now taking advantage of dental
implants to solve these problems. Implants can literally
improve your smile, your ability to eat, and
talk.
What are dental implants? They are
replacement tooth roots made out of titanium that are placed into
the jawbone. The process of receiving implants is generally
comfortable and the implants literally become attached to the
jawbone with a great deal of retention. In most cases, they
are as comfortable and solid as your own teeth.
The initial phase of dental implants is to
have the implants placed into the jawbone. At this point your
case may take one of two paths.
In many cases the implants may be
restored with a crown, bridge or overdenture on the day of the
implant placement.
In other cases, the implants require
three to six months for the implants to become completely
integrated to the bone before the final denture, crown or bridge is
placed.
Regardless of which option your doctor
chooses, the retention of your prosthesis will be strong and
secure.
Our entire
staff is proud of the implant services we are providing. We look
forward to seeing you and answering any questions you may have
about dental implants.
