1173914932968-3058.jpgIn addition to polishing many of our young patients' teeth, Debbie also coordinates the Orthodontic department of our practice. You will see her smiling face from the first consultation right through every checkup! The majority of our patients for orthodontic treatment are younger patients, but we also perform this treatment for case specific adult patients. Orthodontic treatment or tooth straightening, is a detailed science used to align teeth for functional and aesthetic purposes. Many adults you now see wearing "braces" are experiencing "bite" related issues that could have been resolved more easily if diagnosed and treated at a younger age.

While Dr. Lange is not a certified orthodontist, she has taken special, ongoing training enabling her to perform general treatment on appropriate cases. Cost is an issue for many parents these days, and Dr. Lange enjoys the challenge of a successful case as well as the reward of helping parents by providing cost effective ortho treatment for their children.Once Dr. Lange identifies a need for orthodontics, with patient acceptance, an appointment is made for:

  • In Office records
  • Patient attendance at Wilson Radiographic (Specific xrays and photos required for tracing)
  • Dr. Lange and Debbie take all records to UBC where Dr. Lange belongs to the Ortho Study Club. Experts consult on the best treatment for the specific patient.
  • A presentation is made to patients and/or parents which includes a detailed treatment proposal and cost.
  • Financial arrangements are available for orthodontic treatment
  • Dr. Lange's work schedule is designed to make it easier for parents to get their children to their appointments by working late two nights a week.
  • Regular checkups are required, generally at 3 month intervals, or if a band or bracket need to be replaced.
